MIA Al-Fajr Quran Institute:

altThe MIA EC is pleased to announce the establishment of Al-Fajr Quran Institute. This institute will be a dedicated body for teaching recitation and memorization of the Quran. The lead instructors of the institute will be:
•    Sheikh Atef Ibrahim, Hafiz, certified (Ijaza) in recitation of Hafs.
•    Sheikh Ammar Al-Khateeb, Hafiz, certified (Ijaza) in many recitations.
•    Sheikh Ala Ibrahim, Hafiz and teacher of the Quran.
•    Dr. Sadeq Shudaifat, visiting professor of Islamic studies in Jordan.

The institute will begin with two important programs:

  1. Annual Quran competition: This program will be held in Ramadan 2013. There will be 9 levels of competitions with awards ranging from $40.00 – $500.00. For more information please click here.
  2. Quran memorization (Hifz) program: In this program students will have the options of memorizing half of the Quran (2.5 years) or the whole Quran (5 years). Students who memorize Quran will receive certification (Ijaza) at the end of their memorization. For more information, please click here.

All registration forms must be submitted by June 09 at the latest.

The Sunday Quran class will continue and will be managed by the institute.
Al-Fajr Quran Institute will deliver its services in all prayer locations across the city. The institute plans to introduce more programs in the future to enhance community members’ understanding and recitation skills of Quran.

MIA will accept donations specifically designated to the institute to sponsor students who memorize Quran or to sponsor the Ramadan competition prizes and other related programs.

Tickets can also be purchased from the mosques. We urge all our community members to buy tickets for the dinner and make this fundraising successful. Our mosques need constant repairs and upgrades; our events, Quran study programs, activities etc. require funds. With your generous support of this fundraising effort we can make our mosques better and our services greater. We urge all to come and encourage other as well.
