Académie Islamique du Manitoba / Islamic Academy of Manitoba is a full time Islamic school that opened its doors in September 2003. École Sofiya School, for boys and girls from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6, is the elementary section of the Academy. Collège Sofiya is their newest addition, offering a high quality education to Grade 7 and 8 girls.
The academy teaches Qur'an and Islamic Studies everyday. It has the only program of its kind in Canada, offering three languages: Arabic, English, and French.
The school is presently situated inside the Dakota Community Center, in south St. Vital.
