[Feb 15th] Muslim Youth Summit

The 1st Muslim Youth Summit will be held at the Waverley Mosque on Feb 15-16. High school and university aged youth will come together to “Rise Above It All”. 

The Youth Summit will not only be thought-provoking dialogues and workshops, but will also have fair share of entertainment, socializing and fun!  This is the one annual event that you definitely do not want to miss! Registration fee is $25.00 (includes youth summit and Saturday dinner)

Sheikh Yasser Fazaga is confirmed:

  • Dr. Yassir Fazaga holds a degree in Islamic Studies from Imam Saud University, Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Virginia; he also holds a degree in Psychotherapy.
  • He serves as Imam in Orange County, California and counselling therapist at FACES.
  • For many years he taught Arabic and Islam at the American Open University.
  • He is a regular speaker in major conferences; he also speaks at PEACE TV and others.

[Feb 16th] “Youth We Appreciate” Community Dinner

When: Saturday, February 16th, 2013
Time: 6:00 PM (After Maghrib)
Where: Winnipeg Grand Mosque (2445 Waverely)

As part of the Youth Summit, the “Youth We Appreciate” community dinner will be held on Saturday, February 16 at the Waverly Mosque. The dinner is open to all community members, youth, adults and elders. Tickets for the dinner are $20 dollars. There will be babysitting for children aged 11 years and younger for $5.00 each.
