MIA Election & Compliance Commission (ECC) Announcement of the New President

The nominations process for the MIA Executive Council (EC) vacant position; President was closed on Friday, April 26th, 2019. Only ONE (1) nomination form was received and reviewed as per MIA Constitution – Article VI, Section 3 and associated By-Laws and Procedures. The summary of the received nomination form is as follows:
Candidate: Br. Idris Elbakri
Nominator: Br. Mian Hameed
Seconder: Br. Liaquat Ali
The Election and Compliance Commission (ECC) confirmed that the nominee satisfies the eligibility criteria and accordingly ECC announce that Br. Idris Elbakri is the MIA President by acclamation effective as of Saturday April 27, 2019 till the end of the current EC term; December 31, 2019.
May Allah (SWT) bless, guide and support the new president to serve in the best interest of our community, and to keep MIA healthy and stronger.
