Ramadan Announcement

• Sighting of the moon has not been credibly reported in Muslim countries, Europe or North America and it is very unlikely to be seen in central Canada (http://www.icoproject.org/icop/ram34.html?&l=en).Wednesday has been declared to be the beginning of Ramadan in most of the world. This is consistent with the expected astronomical data. Accordingly, the local MIA Fiqh Committee has confirmed the beginning of Ramadan to be onWednesday, July 10.
   
• Taraweeh prayers will begin tomorrow, Tuesday July 09 after Isha in all of the four main mosques in Winnipeg as well as other Mussals (prayer locations). For more information on Ramadan please contact:
