The Marriage Process
- A marriage commissioner is available to perform marriages in accordance with Islamic requirements and the laws of Manitoba.
- A government-issued marriage license is required prior to performing the marriage ceremony.
- In addition, the marriage commissioner will ensure that the Islamic requirements of consent, witnesses, wali and dowry are met.
