With the grace of Allah the MIA fund raising was a great success. Close to $140,000 were pledged and collected. The EC would like to thank our community members for their kind generosity. This is truly inspiring and admirable. For those of you who couldn’t attend the dinner, you can easily and securely donate online by clicking on:
1) TV screen:
A TV screen has been installed in the southern entrance of the mosque. The TV will be used to announce all important community events. It will also be used as a revenue generator by allowing business advertisements. We urge all businesses to use this medium to advertise their businesses. The rate for putting advertisements on the TV will be as follows:

2) Painting:
The Waverly mosque interior painting has been mostly completed. The EC would like to thank the brothers who volunteered their time and did the painting free of charge. We pray to Allah to bless them and reward them. This spirit of voluntarism is an inspiring example of positive action and active participation.
The Jumma khuttba on May 03 at Waverly mosque will be led by visiting guest, Sh. Kamal El Mekki. Sh. Kamal has lengthy experience in the Dawah work. He is known best for his 6 hour long workshop: “How to Give Shahadah in 10 Minutes”. Sh. Kamal El Mekki was educated at the hands of numerous prominent Islamic scholars.
