Eid Adha Prayer Details

When: Friday, October 26th, 2012

Eid Prayer Venue: Winnipeg Convention Center.

Eid Program:

• Beginning of Takbeerat: 8:30 AM.
• Beginning of Eid prayer: 9:30 AM.
• Beginning of Khuttba: 9:40 AM.
• End of Khuttba: 10:00 AM.

 Parking:

Friday is a working day, parking space at the Convention will be limited, but extra space is available in the adjacent hotel, the Bay, Eaton Place, the surrounding streets.

Things to Note:

• Please bring your prayer mats, as the floor is not carpeted.
• Please keep your children in your company.
• Please cooperate with security staff and volunteers and follow their instructions.
• Please donate generously to help us cover all costs. Donation boxes will be available.

Jumma & Eid Prayer:

When Eid occurs on the day of Jummah, many scholars are of the opinion that Jumma prayer will still be incumbent as per normal. Some scholars, such as Imam Ahmed, opine that Jumma prayer becomes optional for those who prayed Eid and they can simply pray Zuhr instead.

All mosques in Winnipeg will hold Jumma as usual.
